Registered Nurse - Cardiac Med/Surg

About the Role

Provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to ensure patient safety, autonomy, and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, adapting care to patient age and condition. Assists physicians with procedures and addresses psychosocial needs, coordinating with social services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed and provide appropriate care.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with procedures requiring technical skills.
• Identify and address psychosocial needs, working with social services.
• Practice cost-effective resource management.
• Prioritize patient care efficiently and promote safety.
• Commit to lifelong professional learning.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS/PALS Certification.
