Temporary Project Access Assistant at Alpha Mill Apartments
Cottonwood Residential is running a network infrastructure installation at Alpha Mill Apartments in Charlotte and needs someone on-site to manage the day-to-day flow of that project. This temporary assignment is estimated between one and seven weeks, depending on installation progress.
About the role
A vendor crew arrives at 8:30 AM ready to pull cable through a unit, and it's your job to ensure they get in, stay on track, and don’t create surprises for residents or management. This role is more coordination-intensive than it sounds.
Each day, you'll coordinate vendor access to individual apartment homes and shared community spaces by walking units and common areas repeatedly throughout the day—not just a single morning walkthrough. You'll monitor that work is being done correctly, flag anything off or behind schedule, and keep the IT Manager informed with timely updates. At the end of each shift, you'll produce a written daily recap covering progress, issues, and any resident interactions worth noting.
You’ll also serve as the face of Cottonwood on-site. Residents may have questions or concerns when vendors move through the building, so handling those interactions professionally is key, as network installations can feel disruptive even when running smoothly.
