Responsibilities
- Coordinates the daily operations of the Architecture Library, a branch of the Hesburgh Libraries, in support of teaching and research activities for the University.
- Ensures that the library is welcoming, well-organized, and efficiently serving faculty, students, and visitors.
- Provides expertise with circulation services, course reserve, and resource delivery services.
- Offers point-of-use instruction and addresses basic technology problems to facilitate the use of electronic products and services.
- Steps in wherever needed to maintain smooth operations (hands‑on, flexible, problem‑solving).
- Opens and/or closes the Architecture Library following established procedures.
- Ensures a safe, clean facility and reports issues promptly.
- Ensures study areas, computer stations, and common spaces are tidy and ready for use.
- Assists with the daily activities of student employees, including assigning tasks and monitoring attendance.
- Coordinates and adjusts student worker schedules to ensure coverage at service points.
- Serves as backup staff for shifts when a student worker is unavailable.
