About the role

The MQ TPL Senior Analyst supports TPL Operations by analyzing and implementing KPI performance, managing TMS data, and coordinating Outbound LTL shipping. Core duties include Warehouse Management (WMS), Asset Management (GPS/YMS), and supporting Inbound/Outbound Operation management (TMS) as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Dedicated Truck Operations and Reposition Load Out.
  • Manage third-party logistics operations, including Intermodal, OTR, and Border crossing (MX Tijuana/San Diego).
  • Oversee Outbound (LTL/FTL/IMC) shipping management and coordination.
  • Develop and implement SOPs to maximize dedicated carrier utilization.
  • Plan pre-determined routes and balance inbound/outbound capacity to minimize empty miles.
  • Assist in outbound operation action plans to achieve periodic goals.
  • Manage all aspects of the dispatching process, including carrier KPI management, training, scheduling, monitoring performance, and responding to customer complaints.
  • Monitor communication with all related parties to ensure timely transportation movements.
  • Coordinate daily/weekly/monthly workload for responsible carriers.
  • Maintain proper records in TMS to track and trace movement data, ensuring timely POD collection and invoicing.
  • Provide first-class service levels for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate TMS, WMS, and YMS data input for shipment and data management.
  • Monitor on-time submission and review carrier PODs.
  • Develop and implement SOPs, measure, and analyze KPIs.
  • Assist with WMS training and inputting information as needed.
  • Identify cost-savings opportunities while maintaining customer service levels.
  • Monitor track and trace reports and GPS dashboards.
  • Ensure delivery dates are accurately reflected in TMS.
  • Provide operational support for Inbound/Outbound operations, including scheduling shipments and dispatching equipment.
  • Assist with Claims Management.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to improve department performance.
  • Function as a utility player to take on additional MQ operations projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Logistics, SCM, Freight Forwarding, or Customer Service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, database management systems).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Dispatch operation experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for long periods.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, writing, and typing.
  • Possibility of domestic travel (30%).
  • Lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Stand and walk as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment with low-level noise exposure.
  • Position located in the San Diego, CA office.
  • Communication with employees and field partners primarily via phone and email.

Pay

$28.00/hour (40 hours/week, full-time in-office).
