Job Summary
The Registered Nurse leads the health care team, providing professional nursing care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. The role adheres to Kaiser Permanente’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
Essential Responsibilities
Upholds Kaiser Permanente’s policies and procedures, principles of responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
Serves as a leader of the health care team; delegates tasks appropriately, and demonstrates accountability.

Champions new ideas, leads the change process, and collaborates with other departments to resolve issues.
Mentors, orients, and coaches others in unit-specific operations and patient care activities.
Shares responsibility and authority with subordinates and holds them accountable for performance.
Complies with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Develops and/or contributes to the individualized plan of care, ensuring multidisciplinary planning, consultation, and education.
Maintains patient safety by ensuring proper medication administration, preventing patient falls, and managing infection control.
Ensures patient comfort and addresses patient anxieties, fears, or concerns regarding their condition, treatment, or discharge.
Provides clear and understandable information about medication purposes, side effects, and administration instructions.
Practices customer service standards, promptly answering call lights, alarms, and patient requests, and facilitating access to resources.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and functional work environment and treats all families of patients with courtesy, respect, kindness, and compassion.
Provides an optimal patient care experience by actively listening to the needs of patients and family members and taking responsibility for meeting those needs.
Works every other weekend and some holidays.
Performs work setting as required.
Experience
Minimum one (1) year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Emergency Department.
Registered Nurse License (California)
Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Additional Requirements
This position is a temporary seasonal position, non-benefited with a commitment duration of 5 months from date of hire.
Will be required to work every other weekend and some holiday.
FT or PT non-benefited, commitment of 5 months from date of hire.
Primary Location: California, Ontario, Ontario - Vineyard Medical Center - H.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.
Shift: Night.
Workdays: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat.
