About the role
Tellers at Central Pacific Bank are the face of the company to both customers and non-customers. They process routine financial transactions, provide a warm welcome, and help customers meet their financial goals by offering information on available products and services.
Responsibilities
- Processes routine financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments, merchant transactions, etc.)
- Welcomes customers and provides exceptional customer service
- Handles a variety of financial transactions, including cashing checks, making deposits, and processing loan payments
- Maintains accurate records of each customer in accordance with bank policies and procedures
- Answers customer questions with a can-do attitude, regardless of complexity or technicality
- Complies with all security procedures and bank regulations
- Maintains working knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to the position
- Safeguards assigned, branch, and customer cash according to security procedures
- Holds financial conversations to determine customer needs and refers appropriate solutions
- Identifies and pursues referral opportunities to maintain relationships and add value for all customers
- Participates in branch or bank-wide campaigns and maintains and submits customer referrals and reports as required
- Works collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed individual and team goals
Requirements
- Teller I: 6 months or more of experience in cash handling and customer service
- Teller II: 1+ year(s) of experience in cash handling and customer service, 1+ year(s) of experience in a Financial Institution, and/or Teller experience
