Teller

Responsibilities

• Assist members in person and by phone
• Provide information about credit union products and services
• Conduct account research
• Perform necessary file maintenance
• Assist with payroll and account changes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adhere to security procedures and internal controls
• Help members achieve their financial objectives with guidance and advice
• Resolve potential problems and create positive member solutions
• Promote appropriate credit union products and services
• Maintain a balanced and secured cash drawer
• Complete necessary file maintenance documents and order checks for members
• Have authority to permit availability of funds for checks up to a specified amount without further approval

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service and/or cash handling experience
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
• Bilingual candidates preferred

• Ability to recognize and understand member needs
• Proficiency in using Palmetto Citizens products
