About the role
The Telephone Triage Nurse is a full-time, hybrid role based in Columbus, OH, responsible for assessing patient needs over the phone and directing individuals to appropriate levels of care. This role includes gathering patient histories, evaluating symptoms using evidence-based protocols, and providing timely clinical advice and education within the nurse’s scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs over the phone using evidence-based triage protocols.
- Gather and document comprehensive patient histories.
- Evaluate symptoms and determine appropriate levels of care.
- Provide clinical advice and education to patients within scope of practice.
- Direct patients to appropriate healthcare services or resources.
