Position Title Technology Support Specialist Position Type Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Categories Staff Exempt Job Summary Provides comprehensive technical support to faculty, staff. and campus community members through phone, email, and in-person interactions, Delivers customer-centric, high-qualily technology services, combining strong customer service skills with technical expertise to ensure smooth operations and high-quality technology services across the University. Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software issues. Manage and maintains University computer systems, and oversees inventory and asset management. Job Duties Reporting Relationships: This role reports to the Assistant Director, Technology Support Work Setting/Schedule On campus student facing roleThis is a full-time role at 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year What You Will Do Provides customer service support to campus community; troubleshoots and resolves computer hardware and software related issues, utilizing University system to address service requests. Monitors and maintains computer and printer inventory for campus faculty and staff.Serves as technology liaison for assigned department(s) .Collaborates with departmental staff to provide seamless, high quality technology services: provides support and integration assistance for departmental and campus projects.The job description's listed responsibilities and tasks are not exhaustive, additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Required What You Will Bring: High school diploma or GEDTwo (2) or more years of work experience Preferred Requirements Vocational or technical training or degreeFour (4) years of work experience in computer hardware or software supportMac Experience Physical Requirements Ability to move and set up computing equipment up to 30 lbsAbility to work on-site, meet clients, answer phone calls, and google chatAbility to go to client workstations on campus Job Exempt Yes Salary Range 49,200.00-61,500.00 The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy. This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
