Position Summary We are seeking a technically skilled Business Analyst to support the development and implementation of a strategic platform for regulatory capital reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various technology and functional teams to enhance current processes, migrate legacy systems to modern architectures, and ensure compliance with Basel regulations. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with multiple technology teams to develop and migrate to a strategic architecture supporting regulatory capital reporting processes.Define requirements for data sourcing elements used in calculating risk-weighted assets (RWA).Develop and document business logic for computing financial metrics and process flows aligned with Basel rules-based capital ratios.Ensure adherence to regulatory standards for capital reporting under Basel regulations.Assist in building a scalable, sustainable, and efficient capital reporting and analysis platform.Implement innovative technical solutions for regulatory capital calculations, leveraging big data tools such as Spark and Hadoop.Optimize and tune data-intensive applications to improve performance and scalability.Support the migration of legacy systems to modern, scalable enterprise architectures.Work closely with internal stakeholders, including data sourcing, architecture, and compliance teams, with limited direct client interactions. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in SQL programming, preferably with Oracle Exadata.Strong understanding of Basel regulations, including Basel 3 endgame, FRTB, SACCR, and risk-weighted assets.Proficiency in Python, with the ability to translate scripts into logical business components.Experience working with data transformation tools such as Altryx and Trifacta.Proven analytical skills in managing large datasets and developing scalable applications.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, agile environments.Demonstrated ability to implement structured enterprise problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC or equivalent). Preferred Qualifications Degree from a top-tier university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline (BS/MS preferred).Experience with big data platforms such as Spark and Hadoop.Familiarity with internal platforms like Quartz.Prior experience in capital calculations and regulatory compliance projects.Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and agile development processes.Proven track record of optimizing large-scale enterprise applications and implementing creative, innovative solutions.
