Technician II, MEP

About the role

The MEP Technician II is a skilled role responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, or plumbing tasks with limited supervision. This position performs repairs, routine troubleshooting, and basic system installations. Ensures each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on MEP systems.
• Completes routine work independently, including electrical repairs, plumbing fixture replacements, HVAC service, and basic diagnostics.
• Affixes assistance and informal guidance to MEP Technician I staff.
• Makes periodic inspection of equipment and systems to observe operating condition and need for repair and adjustment.
• Maintains accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and system performance.
• Ensures compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
• Understands and troubleshoots advanced principles of Freon, refrigeration, and heating concepts.
• Maintains, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to elevator systems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Skilled and/or Journey level experience in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing technical functions.
• Has a working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Understanding of advanced principles of Freon, refrigeration, and heating concepts.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R, installing and troubleshooting repairing, rebuilding commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to open valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation.
• Ability to measure density of brine and add calcium chloride to lower temperature to specified degree.
• Knowledge of advanced principles of Freon, refrigeration, and heating concepts.
• Knowledge of plumbing fixtures in heating, water, and drainage systems.
• Knowledge of building plans and blueprints to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
• Knowledge of structural integrity and avoiding obstructions during installation of pipe.
• Knowledge of pipe assembly, installation, and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of pump and compressor maintenance and cleaning.
• Knowledge of control systems and their adjustments.
• Knowledge of Freon, refrigeration, and heating concepts.
• Knowledge of boiler systems.
• Knowledge of elevator systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum education, training, and previous work experience required to perform this job.

Benefits

• Compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
• Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 1000pm and 600am.
• This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.

Pay

$28.00 - $36.40 per hour
