About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the safe operation of tools, equipment, and vehicles while following all safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Vocational or Technical HVAC certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
  • Option 1: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling equipment, or related trades; Option 2: 2 years' store experience.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
  • Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
  • Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
