Technician, HVAC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and maintain HVAC systems for large capacity processing facility.
• Boilers, Furnaces, and Freon refrigeration systems, along with compressors, condensers, air dehumidification and ventilation systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, and corrective work as needed, on the Facilities HVAC systems.
• Document all maintenance and inspection activities in accordance with our EMAINT and Compliance programs.
• Comply with, and monitor operations for compliance within specified safety, food safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Work in a safe manner consistent with all Company rules and excellent work practices.

PLUMBING QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Experience and Qualifications Required:
• High School diploma or its equivalency.
• Minimum of three years’ experience operating large refrigeration and HVAC systems including:
• Industrial Electrical Experience
• Electrical Control Systems
• Refrigeration Piping
• Liquid Recirculation Systems
• Ability to Interpret Piping and Instrumentation Drawings
• Reciprocating Compressors
• Screw Compressors
• Evaporative Condensers
• Room Cooling
• Room Cooling Evaporator
• Lockout/Tag Out programs
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Hazardous Communications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have 3-5 years of HVAC experience (large plant)
• Knowledge of refrigeration engineering units
• Boiler operator certification
