Technician Automation

Knowledge and Skill Requirement

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Thorough understanding of the hazard communication program
• Ability to identify and report malfunctions of the equipment
• Computer and electronics skills; ability to use hand tools and various instruments
• Broad-based knowledge to successfully troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve problems related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc.
• Understanding of Fanuc systems or equivalent systems
• Able to concentrate for extended periods of time
• Able to read, understand blueprints, and apply understanding to the task
• Able to identify the different materials used in the department
• Able to select the proper tools and gauges required for the products produced

Environmental / Atmospheric Conditions

• Typical Office/factory environment
• Possibility of exposure to heat in production areas

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 40 lbs. in a safe manner
• Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitive operation for extended periods of time
• Exposure to chips and dust (eye protection required)
• Able to perform repetitive motions such as walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
• Able to maintain a 40-hour workweek and work overtime as needed
