Technician

About the role

Location: South Plainfield, NJ. Work model: Onsite – Contract to hire. System One delivers outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America, helping clients complete work efficiently and economically without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor automated production equipment and assist with light assembly.
• Follow cleanroom protocols (gowning required) and standard operating procedures.
• Visually inspect photonic components and support basic handling tasks.
• Log basic production data and notify supervisors of abnormalities.
• Keep the workstation and cleanroom area organized and compliant.
• Work with engineers and technicians as part of a collaborative, high‑precision team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable with repetitive tasks.
• Prior semiconductor, photonics, or cleanroom experience preferred; full training is provided.
• Mandarin fluency is a plus, but not required.

Pay

$21–$22 per hour, with a 10% shift differential for 2nd shift.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.
