Technician 4 AFS

About the Role

This position is located at Nellis AFB, NV, and Edwards AFB, CA, with possible various TDY locations. The role involves working as an F-22 Electrical Environmental Systems technician, supporting maintenance, modification, upgrade, and overhaul efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of components on the F-22 aircraft.
• Complete jobs in maintenance data collection systems, adhering to technical orders, fault isolation manuals, ground operating procedures, and local operational instructions.
• Responsible for all maintenance performed on the assigned aircraft.
• Perform any modification-related duties required outside of the job description.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in the Electrical Environmental career field.
• Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive aviation experience on fighter aircraft (F-16, F-22, F-35, F-15, F-18, A-10, etc.).
• Must have a DOD secret clearance.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and work from ground level to overhead.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting.

Qualifications

• Progressive and documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment.
• Documented qualifications in related maintenance fields.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Desired Skills

• F-22 Nose to Tail experience in other specialties such as Avionics or E/E.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• 4-7 years of F-22 experience.
• MOD and USAF operations knowledge and experience.
• Experience working at an operational customer site.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and component replacement.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $33.37 - $61.92

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO), while represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month and up to 52 hours of sick leave annually. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on the start date during the calendar year.
