About the Role

This role is responsible for installing, testing, operating, maintaining, and repairing headend equipment. The position involves periodic testing of all equipment and signal quality throughout the cable network, maintaining required logs and records, and installing new technology as projects and department goals require. Quality control tests and measurements on new installations are also conducted.

This role may include overnight work based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced headend maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure minimal system outages.
  • Assist in the fault resolution of RF, IP, and Digital Video networks.
  • Maintain an inventory of required parts for headend and OTN projects.
  • Work within manufacturer's rated weight capacity for all equipment, including but not limited to ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior telecom/IP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of headend equipment preferred.
