Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Junior Database Modeler to support computer-based modeling activities. This opportunity is well suited for a recent engineering graduate who is interested in applying technical and analytical skills in a specialized modeling environment. No significant prior modeling experience is required, as the selected candidate will receive structured on-the-job and classroom training.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply diversified technical knowledge and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields.
- Plan and develop technical projects concerned with unique or complex problems.
- Utilize advanced techniques and modify theories and practices within the field.
- Explore subject areas, define scope, and select areas for investigation with minimal supervision.
- Act as a technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: An Associate degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Experience: 0 - 5 years of experience applying diversified knowledge of technical principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments.
- Skills: Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to learn computer-based database modeling applications and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or another engineering discipline.
- Academic concentration or coursework in power systems.
- Successful completion of courses such as Power Systems I and Power Systems II.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with technical information.
