Responsibilities

  • Maintain regulatory compliance: Develop and maintain processes that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and Maintain Design Control Systems: Develop processes to assure accurate Design Control (Mix, Product and Tooling) and provide timely and accurate Submittals to support Sales.
  • Maintain product performance validation records: Develop and maintain processes to receive product performance results and analyze results to recommend and implement Product Design Improvements focused on Improving Quality and Reducing Costs.
  • Manage Quality Lab: Develop and implement in-house testing capabilities to support product and process validation and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the product change process: Develop and Improve process for evaluating and implementing Product Changes.
  • Maintain the quality management system: Develop, Improve, and Maintain the DR Allen Business Management System in alignment with ISO standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field of study (Engineering Degree Preferred)
  • 5 years’ experience in Concrete and/or Block Industry. (ACI and NCDOT certifications are a plus)
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organization, project management, 6-sigma application, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels in the organization and with customers)
