About the role
Arktura LLC, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is seeking a Technical Services Specialist to provide technical expertise and field support for their façade systems. Responsibilities
- Serves as a technical subject matter expert on installation methods, product applications, and system performance.
- Provides pre- and post-sale technical support to sales teams, customers, contractors, and project managers.
- Analyzes installation challenges and recommends practical, cost-effective solutions in field and office environments.
- Reviews shop drawings, specifications, and installation instructions to ensure constructability and product alignment.
- Delivers training to internal teams, contractors, and customers on system installation and best practices.
- Supports product development and continuous improvement by identifying field issues, trends, and enhancement opportunities.
- Participates in job site visits to troubleshoot issues, validate installation methods, and support project success.
- Assists in resolving claims, complaints, and field performance issues.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Technical training, trade certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant discipline required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in construction, architectural products, lighting/electrical systems, or related field.
- Hands-on field experience supporting installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting required.
- Experience supporting architectural systems and/or lighting/electrical components preferred.
- Experience working directly with contractors, installers, and project teams on job sites preferred.
Skills
- Architectural Product/Installation Support: Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, specifications, installation instructions, and assembly details.
- Lighting/Electrical Technical Support: Familiarity with lighting systems and controls, including DMX, DALI, 0–10V, TRIAC, ELVLED drivers and power supplies.
- Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Practical, field-based solutions.
- Effective Verbal and Written Communication: Both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer Service Orientation: Responsive and strong customer service orientation.
- Collaboration: Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Operations.
- Adaptability and Situational Judgment: Ability to adapt in both office and field environments.
- Organizational and Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to review drawings and specifications with attention to detail.

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this role is $70,304 - $85,000 per year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors.
