About the role

The Technical Service Manager will oversee technology and maintenance at the park. They will be a self-starter with experience in electro-mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. Successful candidates are lifelong learners and problem solvers with strong technical aptitude and exemplary customer service skills to ensure every guest leaves happy.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Maintenance Technicians to ensure assigned tasks are effectively addressed
  • Meet regularly with staff to provide supervision and ensure open communication
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and other regulatory agencies
  • Provide continuous training and development of the tech and maintenance team
  • Determine schedules for maintenance staff to ensure appropriate coverage and expedite work
  • Oversee, clean, and maintain multiple attractions including Coasters, Virtual Reality Systems, Laser Tag, Simulators, and more
  • Order all parts following budgets
  • Assist technicians on major escalated issues
  • Work with senior leaders to develop training programs
  • Assist with POS systems, projectors, and other building equipment
  • Ensure daily preventative maintenance and repairs are completed
  • Maintain PM logs for all attractions and keep them up to date
  • Responsible for all building maintenance and contractors needed for repairs
  • Maintain a safety-focused attitude at all times
  • Assist with documenting fire and disaster drills in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure implementation of corrective action needed as a result of internal or external safety inspections
  • Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control
  • Follow all processes involving maintenance including safety and OSHA, maintenance procedures, logging, and reporting
  • Assist with parts/tools inventory and purchasing for stores
  • Maintain payout structure at all locations (25%) and assist with troubleshooting Embed and Center Edge POS systems
  • Ensure maintenance personnel follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies
  • Ensure all personnel wear and/or use safety equipment (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts) when lifting or moving heavy objects
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained to provide a safe and comfortable environment
  • Assist with obtaining/maintaining material safety data sheets (SDS) for hazardous chemicals in the maintenance department
  • Ensure containers of hazardous chemicals in the department are properly labeled and stored
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance-related position
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Highly organized with a strong work ethic
  • Able and willing to stand or walk for up to 10-hour shifts

Skills

  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems and equipment maintenance
  • Familiarity with Embed system and Center Edge POS software (a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Ability to train and develop a technical team
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA compliance
