About the role

We are seeking a Technical Project Coordinator to support network installation, upgrade, and remediation projects. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys coordinating field activities, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring projects stay on track from dispatch through completion.

The successful candidate will serve as the central point of coordination between field technicians, project teams, vendors, management, and customers while supporting critical day-of-service activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technician dispatch and day-of-installation activities for business service projects.
  • Conduct pre-dispatch readiness reviews to ensure technicians have the information, equipment, and resources needed for successful installations.
  • Provide real-time operational support during installation, upgrade, and remediation activities.
  • Monitor technician progress and project milestones throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Track project activity, milestones, and status updates using tools such as Smartsheet and ILEX.
  • Act as the primary liaison between field technicians, project teams, vendors, customers, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure all required documentation, testing results, site photos, and project records are accurately completed and uploaded in a timely manner.
  • Support issue resolution and escalation management to minimize project delays.
  • Manage projects from technician dispatch through work order completion and technician release.
  • Provide ongoing status updates and communications to stakeholders throughout the installation process.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a project coordination, operations coordination, dispatching, logistics, or related role.
  • Experience coordinating field technicians, service teams, or installation personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, customers, and field resources.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires real-time problem solving and decision making.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to understand installation workflows and service delivery processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience dispatching field technicians or coordinating installation activities.
  • Project coordination or project management experience.
  • Telecommunications, cable, networking, IT infrastructure, or field services experience.
  • Experience using project tracking and reporting tools such as Smartsheet, ILEX, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Skills

Strong sense of ownership and accountability, ability to stay organized while juggling competing priorities, excellent follow-through on project updates and documentation, and comfort communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay and Schedule

Location: Plano, TX (Primarily Onsite). Schedule: Flexible start times (approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) with potential for 1 remote day per week. Type: Contract
