12-month contract role, fully remote.

About the role

Work on cutting-edge, high-scale projects such as supporting Prime Video streams for major events, building AI and machine learning infrastructure, and expanding international backbone networks. Gain exposure to end-to-end data center construction and global networking, learning how the Internet operates at scale while participating in the planning and execution of major infrastructure projects. The variety, scale, and pace of work offer both challenge and reward for the right candidate.

Manager is based in Dublin with limited direct interaction; contractors are paired with experienced team members for support and training.

Responsibilities

• Support repeatable, operational projects driven by rapid company growth and recent layoffs of full-time staff.
• Track hardware deliveries and coordinate technician schedules to ensure timely project execution.
• Assist existing Technical Program Managers and teams; no expectation to lead projects independently at first.

Requirements

• 5 years of project management experience.
• 3+ years deploying networking infrastructure (not strictly in data centers, though some data center understanding is preferred).
• Basic knowledge of networking hardware installation (e.g., power limits in racks).
• Conceptual understanding of switches, routers, and OSI layers 1-3.
• Familiarity with routing protocols, three-way handshake, DDoS, ping, and common networking terminology.
• No deep engineering or hands-on configuration required—just the ability to communicate effectively with engineers and business teams.

Pay

$55 – $65 hourly.
