TECHNICAL PRODUCT SUPPORT - FIELD TECHNICIAN 3

About the role

CTR Group is seeking a Technical Product Support Field Technician 3 for a Shipyard in the Newport News, VA area.

Summary

The Technical Product Support Field Technician 3 installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair control automation systems
• Provide technical support control automation systems
• Support the development of new control automation systems

Ideal Characteristics

• Design of PLC, HMI, and logic development
• Troubleshooting industrial machinery
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

Requirements

• Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years experience
• Knowledge and experience in programming with Wonderware, RS Logix, RSNetworks, RSView, Factory Talk and Siemens software is preferred
• Heavy Industrial experience
• Ability to read and produce electrical/controls schematics
• Review and update AUTOCAD drawings
• Required PPE: Hardhat, safety glasses, and steel toes

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Range: $31-$39 per Hour with Benefits
• 1st Shift Position
