Technical Account Manager (TAM), WWPS Partners Public Sector (GDMC)
About the role
AWS Enterprise Support Technical Account Managers (TAMs) support our customers' innovative spirit across various AWS services. This role is not a direct support role but involves working with engineers and service teams to resolve issues and helping customers adopt and utilize AWS services.
Responsibilities
- Work proactively to help craft and execute strategies to drive customers' adoption and use of AWS services.
- Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices.
- Proactively keep customers' AWS environments operationally healthy.
- Understand customers' business/operational needs and technical challenges to help them achieve the greatest value from AWS.
- Travel 10% or more as needed to support customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.
- Bachelor's degree.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Preferred: Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
Skills
Technical acumen and customer-facing skills are essential for representing AWS within a customer's environment and driving discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually.
Schedule
The position requires the ability to travel 10% or more as needed.
