About the role
Nutrien Ag Solutions is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production facilities through preventive maintenance and repair activities.
Responsibilities
- Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
- Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues).
- Perform daily inspection and maintenance on assigned equipment/area, including mechanical cleaning, lubrication, rebuild, installation, and removal.
- Assist in lay out, assembly, and installation of piping and pumps associated with production, to include installation, repair, and replacement of gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment as instructed.
- Operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and fix mechanical and electrical systems on equipment such as: Shakers, Gravities, Screw Conveyors, Elevators, Dry Ingredient Fillers, conveyors, code dater printers, palletizer robots, etc.
- Assist in repair and maintenance of physical structure and utilities as instructed.
- Maintain clean, safe and organized work environment always.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to LOTO, confined space, hot work, and forklift operation.
- Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Maintain complete records of work performed using SAP, work orders and detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups/departments.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement, also provides suggestions to improve processes and participates on team projects.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 3+ years’ experience preferred as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, or chemical/processing plant.
- 2+ years’ welding/fabrication experience and able to submit a welding sample if requested.
- Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use mechanical tools to ensure safety and completion of tasks and assignments.
- Ability to lift 50-80 lbs. Performs highly repetitive motions, stand for eight plus hours, talk, and hear.
- Ability to Climb ladders, stairways, use a manlift/scissorlift at ceiling heights or above with proper safety equipment and work in non-air-conditioned environment.
- Ability and willing to wear a full-face respirator.
- Ability and willing to wear fall protection equipment.
- While performing job duties, the associate will frequently walk, use hands to feel or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. Frequent exposure to oils and greases or coolants.
- While performing job duties, the associate will occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; and vibration.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
