Responsibilities
- Detect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls throughout the facility.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, motors, panels, lighting, and other distribution center equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to resolve issues quickly.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and other material-handling equipment.
- Respond to facility maintenance emergencies to minimize operational downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, National Electrical Code (NEC), and company policies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and digital work orders.
- Perform light welding and fabrication as needed for equipment repairs (training provided).
Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician License (or state equivalent allowing unsupervised electrical work).
- Strong foundational knowledge of 120V, 240V, and 480V 3-phase systems, motors, and electrical distribution.
- Ability to safely read and troubleshoot from electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn complex automation/conveyor systems.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to bend conduit and pull wiring.
