About the role

Leads employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp and/or yard functions in the proper handling of packages/freight, ensuring accuracy and completeness of necessary paperwork and that proper methods are followed, thereby ensuring effective operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months FedEx handler experience, preferably including 3 months work experience in the work area of the open position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to successfully complete basic and re-currency training
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Good human relations and communication skills
• Ability to coach and train employees during sort operations
• Ability to prioritize assignments and make quick decisions with available information
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and delegate responsibilities in a time‑sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment
• Good understanding of FedEx systems and operations

Job Conditions
