Leads employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp, and/or yard functions to ensure proper handling of packages/freight, accuracy of paperwork, and adherence to methods for effective operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in sort, warehouse, ramp, and/or yard operations.
• Ensure proper handling, accuracy, and completeness of packages/freight and related paperwork.
• Train and coach employees during sort operations.
• Prioritize assignments and make quick decisions with available information.
• Delegate responsibilities effectively in a time-sensitive, noisy operations environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Six (6) months of FedEx handler experience, preferably including 3 months in the relevant work area.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations, communication, and coaching skills.
• Ability to complete basic and re-currency training.
• Strong understanding of FedEx systems and operations.
• Non-Covered Safety Sensitive Position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
