About the role
Leads employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp and/or yard functions in the proper handling of packages/freight, accuracy/completeness of necessary paperwork and proper methods are followed; thereby, ensuring effective operations.
Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Minimum Experience: Six (6) months FedEx handler experience which preferably includes 3 months work experience In work area which has the open position.
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Ability to successfully complete basic and re-currency training.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
- Good human relations and communication skills.
- Ability to coach and train employees during sort operations.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and make quick decisions with available information.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and delegate responsibilities in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
- Good understanding of FedEx systems and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- SIDA REQUIRED
Job Conditions
- Non-Covered Safety Sensitive Position; Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Pay
$22.25/hr-$32.52/hr
