About the role

Leads employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp and/or yard functions in the proper handling of packages/freight, accuracy/completeness of necessary paperwork and proper methods are followed; thereby, ensuring effective operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Lead employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp and/or yard functions.
• Ensure proper handling of packages/freight and accuracy/completeness of necessary paperwork.
• Ensure proper methods are followed to maintain effective operations.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months FedEx handler experience, preferably including 3 months work experience in the work area of the open position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner (Non‑Covered Safety Sensitive Position).

Skills

• Ability to successfully complete basic and re‑currency training.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
• Ability to coach and train employees during sort operations.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and make quick decisions with available information.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and delegate responsibilities in a time‑sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment.
• Good understanding of FedEx systems and operations.

Schedule

Shift: Monday‑Friday, 2:00 pm – 12:00 am
