Team Member - Eataly Caffè Hudson Yards (Tipped)

About the role

Eataly Caffe is seeking passionate Team Members to join our dynamic team. You will be part of a vibrant new café celebrating Italian espresso and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve a variety of specialty hot and cold beverages, following Eataly's recipes while accommodating guest requests.
• Work across all areas of the operation, including back-of-house and front-of-house, preparing food items and maintaining cleanliness.
• Provide outstanding service and in-depth knowledge of specialty products to guests.
• Greets, guides, and assists guests throughout their experience, preparing and serving authentic Italian espresso and prepared food.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other team members, fulfilling duties across all sections of the Caffe.
• Maintain Eataly Caffe standards of guest service, performing cleaning duties and operating the Point of Sales (POS) system.
• Set up stations and replenish displays, ensuring proper separation of allergens and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Operate equipment such as manual espresso machines, ovens, drink blenders, juicers, and POS systems.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation and product.
• Outstanding communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to follow recipe and execute tasks according to standard.
• Ability to follow DOH / Company Regulations.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production.
• One year of barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred.

Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
• Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machines, ovens, drink blenders, juicers, and POS systems.
• Dexterity for rapid repeated movements.

Pay

The hourly compensation for this role is $17-$18 per hour + tips.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with potential for early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
