Cafe Team Member (Fremont Cafe)

About the role

Come join our team! We're looking for an enthusiastic Cafe Team Member that makes Grand Central Bakery’s vibrant cafes such wonderful spaces.

Responsibilities

• Supports a welcoming café environment
• Serves delicious products to a community of loyal customers
• Delivers outstanding customer service, following the 3 Steps to Great Service at all times
• Works any shift or station for which they are trained
• Uses company systems proficiently
• Handles cash accurately
• Contributes to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative atmosphere

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must maintain a valid Food Handler's Card at all times and follow health department guidelines
• Must demonstrate regular attendance by coming to work on scheduled working days and being on time
• Must be able to add, subtract, and perform basic math with ease
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to interact with customers for a full shift, in a busy, loud environment with frequent change, while maintaining outstanding customer service
• Food service experience preferred

Pay

This position pays $16.96 plus tips.

• Tips average $7.00 - $9.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Part-time, 24 or less hours each week
• Schedule flexibility, including days of the week and time of day, is required
• Must be able to cover any shift from open, mid, and/or close
