Schedule & Benefits

    Day shift schedule; clinic hours are approximately 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM

What We're Looking For

  • Prior Medical Assistant experience in a busy ambulatory or clinic setting

  • Leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred

  • Strong ability to support team members and promote positive clinic workflow

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable balancing direct patient care with administrative responsibilities

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a resource and mentor for Medical Assistant team members

  • Support daily clinic operations and maintain efficient patient flow

  • Aid in managing team messages and clinic communication pools

  • Onboard and support newer team members

  • Partner with providers and staff to ensure a positive patient experience

  • Perform both clinical and administrative duties, with an expected 50/50 blend that may evolve over time

Clinic Environment

  • Team of 6 Medical Assistants currently supporting the clinic (7 total once position filled)

  • Fast-paced environment that ranges from moderate to high volume based on provider schedules

  • Collaborative team culture with strong peer support

  • Opportunity to help shape and grow the Team Lead role

Qualifications

  • Requires current & active certification

  • Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant program and/or certification from America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), National Center for competency Testing (NCMA), and/or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)

  • AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required

  • Requires 2 years' experience as an MA II or III at IUH

  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required
