Overview
Realize the joy of possibility by providing academic, social, and emotional services for students who need additional support to shine in school. Utilize SESI’s proven instructional models, strategies, and curriculum. Conduct frequent and appropriate assessments, use data to develop and implement instructional plans, and collaborate with school teams and families to drive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all students are being educated in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Observe classrooms regularly both formally (using observation forms to provide appropriate staff feedback) and informally
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings to impart information, suggestions, and issues of concern that affect the program and the staff
- Participate in monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; demonstrate consistent growth and goal completion
- Involvement in the educational program, including regular parent engagement and providing parent education events throughout the school year
- Ensure that all state licensing policies relating to the health, safety, and well-being of the children attending the program are followed and in compliance
- Perform staff supervision including Goal Reviews monthly, giving staff the opportunity for self-evaluation and growth
- Identify staff and program needs and obtain professional development opportunities to address those needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Extensive experience with students with behavioral challenges (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferred)
- Commitment to learning and implementing feedback
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible
