Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations while ensuring 100% compliance with all established Company policies and procedures. Provides leadership, guidance, and training to the store staff under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In their absence, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for all store operations and consistently strives to meet and exceed sales, service, and operational objectives. This role may be filled by a full or part-time management employee.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards; provide service training and leadership to staff.
• Manage customer issues with urgency and to customer satisfaction.
• Oversee all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty programs, and open/closing procedures.
• Inventory control responsibilities:
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for shipping and receiving.
  • Manage price changes, markdowns, and damaged merchandise.
  • Conduct physical inventory.
• Sales floor merchandising and visual presentation:
  • Ensure proper merchandise placement and sales floor maintenance.
  • Manage promotional event directions, materials, and signage.
• Payroll control responsibilities:
  • Adhere to scheduling and payroll budget compliance.
  • Manage time and attendance.
• Training and development of direct reports:
  • Utilize all available training tools.
  • Consistently reinforce customer service standards.
• Loss prevention responsibilities, including adherence to policies for protecting and controlling all Company assets.
• Develop a complete understanding of managing all day-to-day operations.
