Team Lead

About the Role

The Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations while ensuring compliance with all established Company policies and procedures. Provides leadership, guidance, and training to store staff under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In their absence, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for all store operations and strives to meet and exceed sales, service, and operational objectives. This role may be full or part-time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards; provide service training and leadership to staff.
• Manage customer issues with urgency and to customer satisfaction.
• Oversee all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty programs, and open/closing procedures.
• Manage inventory control, including shipping and receiving, price management (changes, markdowns), handling singles and damaged merchandise, and conducting physical inventory.
• Maintain sales floor merchandising and visual presentation standards, including merchandise placement, sales floor maintenance, housekeeping, and promotional event setup.
• Control payroll responsibilities, including scheduling, payroll budget compliance, and time & attendance tracking.
• Train and develop direct reports using available training tools and reinforce customer service standards.
• Uphold loss prevention policies to protect and control Company assets.
• Develop a complete understanding of managing day-to-day operations.

Principal Working Relationships

Works closely with customers, sales associates, store management, district/regional managers, and store operations and training personnel.

Qualifications

• An approved background check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong managerial and organizational skills.
