Team Lead

About the Role

The Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations while ensuring compliance with all established Company policies and procedures. Provides leadership, guidance, and training to store staff under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In their absence, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for all store operations and strives to meet or exceed sales, service, and operational objectives. This role may be filled by a full- or part-time management employee.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards; provide service training and leadership to staff.
• Manage customer issues with urgency and to customer satisfaction.
• Oversee all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty programs, and open/closing procedures.
• Inventory control, including adherence to policies and procedures for shipping and receiving, price management (price changes, markdowns), handling singles and damaged merchandise, and conducting physical inventory.
• Sales floor merchandising and visual presentation, including merchandise placement, sales floor maintenance, housekeeping, and promotional event setup.
• Payroll control, including scheduling, payroll budget compliance, and time & attendance management.
• Training and development of direct reports, utilizing available training tools and reinforcing customer service standards.
• Loss prevention, including adherence to policies and procedures for protecting and controlling Company assets.
• Develop a complete understanding of managing all day-to-day operations.

Principal Working Relationships

Interacts with customers, sales associates, store management, district/regional managers, and store operations and training personnel.

Qualifications

• An approved background check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Managerial and organizational skills.

Pay

$12.00 - $15.60 hourly.
