Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce all safety policies and equipment guidelines.
• Conduct routine safety checks and support corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure materials and finished goods are handled and transported without damage.
• Support quality investigations, inventory accuracy efforts, and root cause problem solving.
• Lead, guide, and support logistics team members in daily tasks, including material handling, palletizing, staging, shipping and receiving activities.
• Train new and existing team members on processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and daily activity logs.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with implementing solutions.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required (an associate’s degree or higher preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or material handling.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership position is strongly preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Proficiency with computer skills and apps including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and other MS Office apps required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

About the Role

The Logistics Team Lead oversees daily operations within the logistics department, ensuring efficient receipt, movement, staging, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This role provides hands-on leadership to the logistics team, supports problem-solving, drives safety and quality standards, and ensures all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule to meet customer and production demands.
