Teacher's Aid - Credential Teacher

Responsibilities

• Work as a Tutor, supporting 6-8th grade students in Middle School Science (General Science and Environmental Science) or Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry).
• Support students in Special Education with IEP's.
• Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Requirements

• A teaching credential issued by the state of Florida.
• A bachelor's degree accompanied by a Statement of Eligibility issued by the Florida Department of Education (ESE Certificate).
• Credential must be in Science, Math, or Multi Subject.
• Non-Science or Math credentialed teachers will be considered if you have experience teaching Math or Science and have a strong knowledge and familiarity with Math or Science.
• Experience working with struggling students and at-promise populations is preferred.
• Experience working with reading instruction.
• Ability to complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer.

• Detail-oriented and highly dependable.
• Effective communicator.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired.

Benefits

• Part-time schedule starting in September.
• In-person tutoring at Millennium Middle School, Seminole County Public Schools, Sanford, FL 32771.
• Hours: 3 days per week, 6 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break during the school day.
• Hourly pay of $30 per hour.
