TEACHER, ELEMENTARY - MUSIC, KINDERGARTEN-5TH GRADE
About the role
Teaches appropriate grade level standards based curriculum in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies and Personal Development to diverse elementary students, following District Literacy Program and Everyday Math or other school/District approved curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Maintains classroom discipline and monitors student behavior.
- Evaluates student performance and behavior, and records observations.
- Presents lessons using various teaching methods and instructional materials.
- Prepares and administers tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.
- Communicates with parents and guardians about student issues.
- Participates in extra-duty activities as outlined in the Teachers' Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.
- A Master's Degree is only required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
- Lived and works with a permanent home address in Colorado.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
