Music Teacher - Elementary/Middle School

About the role

The Lisbon School Department is seeking a highly qualified, certified K-8 music teacher to join the team starting August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a district music department
• Be student-centered with a strong knowledge of content, including best practices in grades 4-8 music instruction
• Understand standards-based assessment
• Use technology in instruction
• Support the mission of the school department
• Facilitate after school band instruction (grades 4-8) and beginning choral instruction (grades 4-5) for an additional stipend

Requirements

• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with a district music department
• Show strong knowledge of content, including best practices in grades 4-8 music instruction
• Show understanding of standards-based assessment
• Show ability to use technology in instruction
• Show willingness to support the mission of the school department
