TDCJ - Program Supervisor V - Special Populations

About the role
This position involves direct collaboration with senior leadership, program directors, and supervisors. The role entails supervising multiple staff members across various departments and geographical locations and includes direct contact with incarcerated inmates. Day-to-day functions include overseeing case management services to inmates in the justice system. The role serves as a liaison between staff, inmates, families, and other service providers. Responsibilities include verifying designated personnel are delivering the approved curriculum during scheduled programming hours.

Qualifications

- Criminal justice experience
- Case management experience
- Strong work ethic
- Supervisory experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice
- Strong understanding of TDCJ policies and procedures
Additional Information
- No travel required (day trips possible, but no overnight trips)
- No work site visits or study material required
- No pre-service training academy required
- Position is classified as hazardous duty/longevity
- Outside applicants must submit to pre-employment drug testing
Eligibility
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or financial assistance
