About the role
This position reports to the Ellis unit on a daily basis. Duties include direct contact with incarcerated inmates. Day-to-day functions include providing case management services to inmates in the justice system.
Responsibilities
Case Managers serve as a liaison between youth, families, and other service providers. They use development strategies like cognitive behavioral tools, problem solving coaching and skill building exercise to help change unhealthy thought patterns and improve daily functioning.
Requirements
- Criminal justice experience
- Case management experience
- Strong work ethic
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice
- Strong understanding of TDCJ policies and procedures
Skills
Ability to provide case management services, use cognitive behavioral tools, problem solving coaching and skill building exercises.
