About the role
This position reports to the Estelle unit on a daily basis. Duties include direct contact with incarcerated inmates. Day-to-day functions include providing case management services to inmates in the justice system.
Responsibilities
Case Managers serve as a liaison between youth, families, and other service providers. They use development strategies like cognitive behavioral tools, problem solving coaching and skill building exercise to help change unhealthy thought patterns and improve daily functioning.
Requirements
- Criminal justice experience
- Case management experience
- Strong work ethic
A bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a strong understanding of TDCJ policies and procedures are preferred.
Qualifications

Skills
Applicants should have experience with cognitive behavioral tools, problem solving coaching, and skill building exercises.
Additional Information
Travel is not required, but the position may make day trips. The position is considered hazardous duty and requires pre-service training at the Training Academy. Outside applicants will be required to submit to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment.
