About the role
This position reports to the Brad Livingston Administrative Headquarters complex on a daily basis. Duties include operational oversight of three freight terminals and three freight satellite operations located in Huntsville, Rosharon, Snyder, Palestine, Gatesville and Beeville, Texas. Day-to-Day functions include monitoring of freight transportation production output, available resources, and the safety and security of staff and inmate truck drivers.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience in fleet management, dispatch, or public administration, and will be able to monitor multiple functions or projects at a time. They will also be able to communicate well with supervisors, peers, other departments, and the team they lead to ensure the timely dissemination of information and instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and four years of fleet management, dispatch, or public administration experience; or eight years of related experience
- Knowledge of correctional custody or law enforcement practices preferred

Additional Information
Retiree salary will be 2.5% less than the posted salary. Travel is required, with 25% of the position spent traveling, which may include 1-5 nights away per month. The position requires work site visits and pre-service training academy, and is considered a hazardous duty/longevity position.
