About the role
This position reports to the Luther Stainless Steel Facility on a daily basis.
Duties
- Establishing program goals and objectives
- Developing program guidelines, policies and procedures, schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving program goals
- Evaluation program activities, budget requests, and the supervision of others
Minimum qualifications
- Two years of experience in metal fabrication OR five years of experience in any production or manufacturing operation
- Welding certification obtained by completing 30 semester hours may substitute for one year of experience
- One year experience in the supervision of employees or inmates
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of quality control standards to maintain satisfactory levels of production
- Knowledge of production and workflow procedures to include various routine and complex technical metal fabrication operations and equipment
- Great communication skills and ability to communicate ideas and instructions clearly to staff, administration, officials, agencies, organizations and the public
- Skills to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures along with problem-solving techniques
- Skill to coordinate and supervise various manufacturing production lines simultaneously
