Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures effectively

• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with staff, departments, officials, external agencies, and the public
• Skill in administrative problem-solving and reviewing technical data

Preferred qualifications

• Seven years of full-time experience in program administration or criminal justice administration
• Four years of experience supervising employees
• Understanding of TDCJ organizational structure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Experience conducting inspections, evaluations, and compliance reviews
• Strong background in preparing and evaluating budget requests and monitoring expenditures
• Skill at developing program guidelines, identifying needed improvements, and implementing corrective actions
• Experience providing training, technical assistance, and interpreting complex standards
