Responsibilities

  • Performs complex work as a representative and advocate of inmates in a correctional facility.
  • Provides technical support to inmates in the disciplinary process.
  • Coordinates the inmate disciplinary process, including case management, application of policies and procedures, docket schedules, and quality control.
  • Notifies and interviews inmates charged with violations of agency, facility, or unit rules and regulations.
  • Analyzes inmates' positions, develops strategies of defense, and advises inmates of alternative plans of action.
  • Assists in maintaining security of inmates.
  • Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.

Additional Information

  • Travel: 25% – Position may spend 1-5 nights away per month.
  • Pre-Service Training Academy Required: Yes.
