The Tax Project Manager, Digital Transformation & Innovation will be an integral member of the BDO Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation team, primarily focusing on managing technology development projects.

Leads the project planning and implementation of project plans of technology development projects within the Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation portfolio.

Works closely with the Product Manager and Deployment Lead to ensure project alignment with product objectives and company goals are being met in accordance with agreed upon project plans.

Utilizes a hybrid project management approach, incorporating elements of both waterfall and agile methodologies, to effectively manage project timelines, scope, and resources.

Reviews and analyzes project financials and budget to actual projections.

Employs project management tools and software to track project progress, manage resources, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

Facilitates communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

Identifies and manages project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project success.

Ensures project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

Counsels and mentors team members as required.

Conducts post-project evaluations to capture learnings and improve future project management practices.

Job Duties

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Business or Information Technology, preferred
  • Experience with project management, mentoring teams, and software development lifecycle, required
  • Five (5) years of experience serving as a project manager, project coordinator, or similar role, with a focus on technology development projects, preferred
  • Experience working in the tax or accounting professional services industry tax, preferred
  • Experience working with multinational teams, preferred
  • License/Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certified, preferred Scrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferred
  • Software Proficient with project management tools, required

Pay

National Range: $100,000 - $175,000
Maryland Range: $100,000 - $175,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $175,000

Flexible schedule available. Exact hours and days may vary based on project needs and client requirements.
